When you create an account, we collect your name and email address to identify you and enable group expense features.

• Expense amounts, categories, and descriptions
• Group memberships and split information
• Settlement and payment records

This data is stored securely on our servers to enable syncing across devices and group collaboration.

• To calculate balances and simplify debts within groups
• To sync your data across devices
• To send important service updates (not marketing)

Your data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use MongoDB with authentication and access controls to protect your information.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Expensease uses the following third-party services:

• AWS — for cloud hosting and data storage
• Apple App Store & Google Play Store — for app distribution

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can:

• Delete individual expenses or groups at any time
• Request complete account deletion by contacting us
• Export your data before deletion upon request

Expensease is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

• Opt out of non-essential communications
